condition of all events, and by participating in these events,
all participants are deemed to have complied with these rules.

The race director shall be empowered to permit reasonable and
appropriate deviation from any of the specifications herein or
impose any further restrictions that in his opinion do not alter
the minimum acceptable requirements. NO EXPRESSED OR
IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM SUCH ALTERATION OF
SPECIFICATIONS.
Any interpretation or deviation of these rules is left to the
discretion of the officials. Their decision is final.

CRATE ENGINE RULES:
1.
GM PART NUMBER 88958602 & GM PART NUMBER 88958604.
2.
THESE ENGINES ARE SEALED AT THE INTAKE MANIFOLD, CYLINDER HEAD,
FRONT COVER, AND OIL PAN WITH SPECIAL TWIST OFF BOLT HEADS.
CRATE ENGINES MUST NOT BE ALTERED, MODIFIED OR CHANGE FROM
FACTORY SPECS.
3.
THE SEALED ENGINES MUST REMAIN INTACT AND NOT BE TAMPERED WITH;
ANY SEALS THAT HAVE BEEN REMOVED OR TAMPERED WITH WILL MAKE THE
ENGINE ILLEGAL AND NOT ELIGIBLE FOR COMPETITION. THE PENALTY FOR
ANYONE TAMPERING WITH SEALS, MODIFYING ANY INTERNAL ENGINE
PARTS, CHANGING THE PARTS FROM STOCK AS DELIVERED SEALED FROM
THE FACTORY WILL BE SUBJECT TO EXPULSION FROM RACING WITH ANY
CRATE RACIN' USA SANCTIONED EVENT FOR THE REMAINDER OF SEASON
AND FUTURE SEASONS.
4.
NO CHANGES ARE ALLOWED TO THE ENGINE - INTAKE MANIFOLD, HEADS,
VALVE COVERS, FRONT COVER, OIL PAN, HARMONIC BALANCER OR ANY
OTHER PART / OR PARTS ON / OR IN ENGINE.
5.
NO VACUUM PUMPS.
6.
ALL CRATE ENGINES MUST REMAIN STOCK AS THEY CAME SEALED FROM THE
FACTORY. CRATE ENGINES MUST NOT BE ALTERED, MODIFIED OR CHANGED
FROM FACTORY SPECS.
7. ENGINE
SERIAL NUMBER MUST BE CLEARLY VISIBLE TO SERIES TECHNICAL
INSPECTORS.
8.
ANY VIOLATION OF THE ENGINE RULES AND/OR FACTORY SPECS INSIDE
THE SEALING BOLTS OF THE ENGINE WILL RESULT IN THE DRIVER BEING
DISQUALIFIED FROM THAT EVENT, AND SUSPENDED FROM SERIES
COMPETITION FOR 365 DAYS. AFTER THAT PERIOD, THE DRIVER CAN
ONLY COMPETE IN SERIES EVENTS WITH AN ENGINE EQUIPPED WITH
ORIGINAL FACTORY SEALING BOLTS, AND MAY NOT COMPETE WITH AN
ENGINE EQUIPPED WITH “RM” BOLTS, UNLESS AUTHORIZED BY SERIES
OFFICIALS, AND THIS ALSO APPLIES TO THE CAR OWNER OF THE CAR
SHOULD ANOTHER DRIVER COMPETE WITH IT.
9.
ANY VIOLATION OF THE ENGINE RULES AND/OR FACTORY SPECS OUTSIDE
THE SEALING BOLTS OF THE ENGINE WILL RESULT IN THE DRIVER BEING
DISQUALIFIED FROM THAT EVENT, SUSPENDED FROM SERIES COMPETITION
FOR 30 DAYS, AND FINED $500.00.
LIMITED
ENGINE:
A. Only 283, 302, 305, 307, 327 and 350 blocks can be used for Chevrolet. No
big blocks. OEM only.
B. Only 260, 289, 302 and 351 blocks can be used for Ford. No big blocks.
OEM only.
C. Only 273, 318, 340 and 360 blocks can be used for Mopar. No big blocks.
OEM only. No hemis.
D. All casting numbers must remain on blocks. No side bolt main blocks
allowed.
E. No Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Buick, Rambler, Studebaker, etc., motors. We
realize some of these cars came with Chevrolet motors, but casting numbers
will bear this out and those Chevy motors will be legal.
F. No 400 small block or big block crankshafts allowed! This goes for Ford,
Chevy or Mopar.
G. No 4-cylinders allowed. No V-6’s allowed. No in-lines. V-8’s only.
H. Again: only Ford, Chevy or Mopar engines are allowed.
I. Mopar = Chrysler, Plymouth and Dodge. 370 cubic inch maximum.
J. Ford = Ford and Mercury. 360 cubic inch maximum.
K. Chevy = Pontiac, Buick, Oldsmobile as long as they are Chevrolet engines.
364 cubic inch maximum.
L. No tolerance on cubic inch.
M. Compression may not be over 175 lbs. per cylinder on any cylinder.
Track's discretion on cylinders checked. No tolerance.
CHEVROLET : FORD : MOPAR:
A.
Any flat top or dished pistons allowed, no gas ported pistons.
Decking block okay.
B. OEM blocks only. No Dart or after market blocks. No aluminum. Cylinder
sleeves okay. Polishing lifter galley, okay.
C. OEM, or OEM replacement steel crankshaft and rods only - cannot be
lightened. No cap screws Balancing okay. No aluminum. Chevy = 5.7”
length maximum rods.
D. No splayed main caps.
E. After market rod, main and head bolts or studs allowed. Push rods may be
any length.
F. Stock or circle track pans allowed. No dry sumps. No gas ported pistons.
No accu. sumps. Must have 1" Inspection plug
G. Fluid dampener harmonic balancers are allowed. No roller rod, main, or
cam bearings.
H. Aluminum water pumps ok. OEM type only. Mechanically belt driven only!
I.
INTAKE:
Unaltered, approved OEM cast iron low rise, two- or four-barrel. Only
unaltered aftermarket aluminum intakes allowed are: Weiand GM #7547-1; Ford
#7515, #8023 or #7516; Chrysler #7545; Edelbrock GM #2701; Ford #7121,
#7181, #7183; Chrysler #2915. No porting, polishing, or alterations of
any kind, including cooling lines or plenum alterations to ANY intake.
Disqualification, loss of points, purse and $250 fine if any alterations are
found to heads/intake. No OEM hi-rise, marine or bowtie intakes. Ford
may use OEM aluminum intake, no under air or hi-rise. All intakes must have
unobstructed 0.250-inch vacuum fitting. Belt driven, OEM style water pumps
only.
J. Ford may use aluminum, but no hi-rise or air under intake.
K. Mopar intake is same rule as Chevrolet.
M. After market starter’s okay. Must mount in front of bell housing.
N. Power steering pump and reservoir must be a one-piece unit. Must mount in
front of engine.
O. Steel side engine mounts may be of the 45 degree style or stock style.
P. Engine mid-plate is allowed and may be aluminum.
Q. Any brand of air cleaner allowed.
R. 3.48 stroke maximum for Chevy. Balancing okay.
S. Engine displacement can be checked by pump even on protest.
T. Oil filters must attach at factory specs. No Oberg, etc.
U. Polydyne coating or similar allowed.
OPEN
ENGINE
1. Open engines
will consist of any engines that do not fit the crate or Limited Engine
Rules.
2. These engines
must abide by 2 BBL. car and gear ratio rules
3. Must be a
Legal SUPR Spec Engine to run 12" Rear Spoiler

CAMS:
A.
CAMSHAFT:
Non-roller Flat Tappet cam/lifters only. Must be chain
driven, no gear/belt drives.
B. No bronze bushings in the lifter bore or similar pieces. Up to four
bronze bushings will be allowed in lifter bore for repair.
C. Anti-pump up lifters okay. No gear drives.
D. No reverse rotation cams or motors. OEM rotation only!
E. No vacuum cans of any type allowed.
F. Lifter Bores must be stock diameter for engine model
HEADS:
A. No porting, acid dipping, or polishing allowed. Screw-in studs and guide
plates are legal.
B. Stock diameter springs only for heads used.
C. Flat milling allowed. No angle milling.
D. Full roller rocker arms or roller tips are allowed. No stainless steel.
1.5 or 1.6 ratio only.
E. No aluminum or titanium components allowed. No carbon fiber parts
anywhere.
F. Poly-locks are allowed.
G. No stud girdles. 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 angle valve jobs are legal.
H. No Jesel or other assemblies allowed. No O-ringing block or heads.
I. Any breather/valve cover configuration/composition is allowed.
J. Due to Fords and Mopars having no cc rule, neither will Chevy’s
CHEVROLET: HEADS-GM
Only GM OEM approved head numbers are (last 3 digits): 126, 185, 336, 441,
445, 487, 493, 598, 624, 862, 882, 920, 993, 997, with valve no larger than
1.94-inch intake and 1.50-inch exhaust. May use Engine Quest (EQ) Stock
Replacement (SR) cylinder head, part number CH350I, or Dart 10024360 or
World Products 043600 heads must remain as
produced, valve sizes can not be changed. No porting, polishing, or
unapproved alterations to ANY cylinder head. Any cast iron OEM Ford and
Chrysler heads allowed with valves no larger than 2.04-inch intake and
1.70-inch exhaust. Headers must bolt directly to heads with correct numbers.
No vortec, bowtie, SVO, W-2 or aftermarket heads allowed. Flat milling
allowed. Guide plates, screw-in shouldered studs (0.375-inch max) and
polylocks allowed. No stud girdles. Stamped steel, OEM style, stud mounted
(0.375-inch max) rocker arms only. Chrysler may use OEM rocker arm bars. Any
length push rods allowed. OEM diameter springs must match heads. No beehive
valve springs allowed.
FORD: HEADS
A. Any cast iron head. OEM Ford heads only. Headers listed for Ford are the
only headers that can be used. If the headers don’t fit the head you are
using, head is illegal.
B. No Boss or after market heads of any kind.
C. No valves larger than 204 intake or 1.70 exhaust.
MOPAR: HEADS - PLYMOUTH, DODGE, CHRYSLER
A. Any cast iron head. OEM Mopar only. Headers listed for Mopar are the only
headers that can be used. If the header doesn’t fit head you are using, head
is illegal.
B. No after market heads of any kind.
C. No valves larger than 2.04 intake or 1.70 exhaust.
D. Mopar can use the rocker arm bars. OEM only. No roller tips.
IGNITION:
A. All cars must have ignition switch clearly labeled.
B. Ignition switch must be located within reach when standing outside the
car (easily accessible to emergency personnel.)
C. Stock or stock style ignition only. Ford may use Motorcraft or FoMoCo,
including box. Mopar may use Mopar, including box. HEI legal on Ford or
Mopar.
D. HEI must remain in one unit, no external coils allowed, unless you are
using dual or single point distributor.
E. MSD or any module may be used as long as it fits inside the distributor
with no alteration. Vacuum advance may be removed and the pick-up coil
locked.
F. MSD, any brand, or GM electronic boxes are not allowed. No magnetos.
FUEL:
Gasoline only. No oxygenated or other performance enhancers! No alcohol or
nitrous.
FUEL PUMP:
No electric fuel pumps. Only stock mount push rod activated Holley and
Carter style allowed. No bypass fuel systems, pressurized, or return lines
allowed. No regulators of any type.
ENGINE SETBACK RULE:
1.
ENGINE SETBACK WILL BE 6" FROM CENTER OF TOP BALL JOINT TO THE
MOST FORWARD SPARK PLUG ON THE JIG-FRAME CAR WITH 1-INCH
TOLERANCE ON ENGINE SETBACK. THERE WILL BE A 50 POUND PENALTY
FORWARD OF THE MOTOR PLATE FOR EACH 1/2-INCH OF SET BACK BEYOND
SEVEN (7) INCHES OF ENGINE SETBACK, AND UP TO A 100 POUND
PENALTY. NO CARS WITH MORE THAN AN EIGHT (8) INCH ENGINE
SETBACK WILL BE ALLOWED TO COMPETE.
CARBURETOR RULES:
1.
ONE FOUR-BARREL CARBURETOR ONLY OF ANY MANUFACTURE FOR CRATE OR
LIMITED MOTOR. OPEN MOTOR MUST RUN 500 CFM HOLLEY 2 BBI. PART #
4412 OR 80583 - 1. CARB MUST BE UNALTERED AND PASS NO GO GAUGE
CHECK.

ENGINE MUST BE NATURALLY ASPIRATED.
