Baton Rouge, LA (July 15, 2005) - Kennith Crowe and Donald Watson shared the heat races for Late Models. Watson jumped into the lead on the drop of the green. Kennith Crowe moved into second and went after Watson who had a whole straightaway over Crowe. David Ashley moved into third. Turn two Ashley got under Crowe and they ran wheel to wheel for second while Watson got further away with half a track on the rest of the field. Little by little Crowe and Ashley closed in on Watsons big lead. Ashley broke and took that long ride to the pits with 5 laps to go. As they came off four for the checkered Crowe got under Watson and they passed the start finish line side by side with Watson winning by a whisker.
