Kevin Watts tops Late Models while Justin Bowman takes 10th victory of the year! Baton Rouge, Louisiana (September 11, 2004) - Kennith Crowe and Kevin Watts shared the late model heat wins. Jason Polite jumped from the second row to the lead and caused a restart. This time Kennith Crowe took the lead and held it halfway through when he went in the pits and Kevin Watts took over as leader and went on to score the win followed by Chad Guy,Jason Polite, Larry Clayton, Donald Collins fifth. Justin Bowman and Crowe took the heat wins for pure stock. Bowman blasted into the lead of the feature and held the lead till the checkered and scored his tenth feature win of the 2004 season. Jason Truax followed in second and crossed the line in a cloud of smoke, Mike McDempsy scored third, hard charging Brian Jarreau took over fourth on the last lap and fifth went to Eric McCallister who had run in the top three earlier but then slipped back a couple positions. Todd Rogers sitting in for Jason Jackson drove his car to victory in the heat. For the feature Rogers blasted into the lead and set sail never let anyone get close .Jimmy Stephens ran second wheel to wheel with John Edmonston half the race. without touching once. Stephens took second and Edmonston third. Foster fourth and 9 fifth. Scotty Covington and the Louisiana points leader Kevin Dupont took the heat wins in UMP. They made up the front row on the start. Covington, Jerry Cassano and Dupont ran like that the whole race.They were flawless if one would have slipped that would have been it. These three took the high line up by the concrete wall then down after the turns. Scotty Covington scored another win followed by Jerry Cassano, Kevin Dupont , Chris Cassano and rounding out the top five Darron Carroll. Story by Sue DuRoy
