from
Hollingsworth from Lawrence, Mississippi backed up his brother Ken's State Championship win at Baton Rouge Raceway last year by getting by Shane Hebert to take the Mississippi Modified feature win. Hebert held on to second ahead of a fast closing Roy Schnebelen. Glendale Shoemake and Mark Hebert rounded out the top five.
In local action, Eric McAllister and Justin Bowman took the Pure Stock heat wins. On the start of the feature, Bowman took the lead with McAllister in tow. Lap after lap McAllister stuck to Bowman and even got a nose under him at times but Bowman was smooth and held him off to take his second win in a row. McAllister took second, Shannon Graham was third with Kevin Saucier fourth, and Leonard Barrileaux fifth.
Butch David topped the heat and feature races for the Sprint Cars. Michael Herrington and Terry Vidrine rounded out the top three while Terry Vidrine had a rough start to his season rolling his sprinter in heat race action.
Jimmy Stephens and Matthew Simeon took the heat wins for Street Stocks but on the start of the feature it was Tommy Cannon who took the lead. Behind him was a side by side battle with Matthew Simeon and Jimmy Stephens and this allowed Cannon to pull clear and take the win.. Jimmy Stephens eventually won the battle for second with Jason Wilks moving by Simeon for third. Simeon came home fourth ahead of Carl Bourgeois.
Junior Dupont and David Knight dueled for the Super Stock heat and feature wins with Junior edging Knight in both instances to take the victory.
