Baton Rouge, Louisiana (April 4, 2003) - Jerry Cassano and Jason Wilks both repeated their opening night victories as the Championship Points season continued at Baton Rouge Raceway.  Cassano started the night off by winning his heat race with Scotty Covington doing the same in his heat.  Cassano and Covington battled early but lapped traffic cost Covington a solid finish as Scotty spun Henry Lamonica as he tried to lap him.  Covington was put to the rear and Jerry Cassano sailed off to the UMP Modified victory.  Cassano was followed by Jay Ladner, Roy Schnebelen, Clay Schexnayder and Mark Chamel.

In Street Stock action, Jason Wilks also scored a heat race victory to start off his night and then used his pole position to check out from the competition.  Jason Wilks shared heat wins with Garry Talbert. Wilks started from the pole in the feature and launched into the lead followed by Randy Jamison. Jamison dropped back and David Johnson moved into second followed by Tommy Cannon in third. Yellow flew when Daniel Jessup was tapped and spun in four. On the restart it was Wilks leading the field again. Wilks went on to win the second feature of the season. David Johnson took second, Tommy Cannon third, Michael Barfield fourth and Garry Talbert fifth.

Bo Garig and Mark Hardwick took the heat wins for pure stock. Garig and Hardwick ran wheel to wheel down the front straightaway till Garig pulled into the lead. Half way through the race a car lost its radiator in turn four. The Cruiser car spun in the fluid and Garig came along and nailed the big Lincoln earning a trip to the rear on the restart. Mark Hardwick took over as leader on the restart with Timothy Moran tight on him. As they crossed the finish line they were side by side with Hardwick a foot ahead taking the lead. Moran finished second. Bo Garig had worked his way back to third where he finished. Leonard Barrileou fourth and Tudy Jackson fifth.

David Ashley led every lap of the late model feature and took the win. Eric Courville ran second the whole race trying to catch Ashley, but was unable to and had to settle for second. Kevin Watts finished third, Chris Wall fourth and rounding out the top five was Jay Blair. Eric Courville and David Ashley shared the heat wins.
