Odie Green the 2001 O'Reilly SUPR Rookie of the Year!

Baton Rouge, Louisiana (November 10, 2001) - Odie Green capped off a sensational rookie season with a solid second place finish in the 2001 O'Reilly SUPR Championship point standings. Odie pursued and caught 1999 Champion David Ashley at the final point race of the season at Sabine Raceway in Many, Louisiana.  Along the way, Odie Green recorded a pair of victories including a win in his home state of Arkansas when he topped the field at I-30 Speedway on June 16th.  Green enjoyed himself so much that he repeated the feat the very next weekend at Boothill Speedway, just an hour down the road from his hometown of Fouke, Arkansas.  Green has proven to be a threat to win in his Sharp Racing/Green Motorsports GRT and barring an unexpected sophomore slump he can be expected to be a serious contender for the 2002 O'Reilly SUPR Championship.
