2nd Leg Rescheduled of Mardi Gras Nationals
Pike County Speedway (March 2, 2001) The second leg of the 2nd Annual OReilly Auto Parts Mardi Gras Nationals were rescheduled due to rain and a forecast for severe weather. The race has been rescheduled as for next Saturday night, March 10th. The gates will open at 4:00 p.m. and the racing will get underway at 7:00 p.m. The 50-lap OReilly SUPR feature race will pay $2500 to win and $400 to start. Rodney Wing is eligible for a $1000 bonus posted by OReilly Auto Parts if he can sweep the Mardi Gras Nationals after posting a win last night in the first leg at Baton Rouge Raceway.
Hot Chassis has also posted a $500 bonus to the driver that can sweep the Mardi Gras Nationals in the UMP Modifieds and last nights winner, James Ward will be seeking the sweep in Mitch Tassins M-1. The always-popular Pike County Speedway Pure Stocks will also be on hand for competition. Come join us at Pike County Speedway where the racing comes alive at I-55.
