2nd Annual Mardi Gras Nationals kick off February 23rd in Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, LA (February 23, 2001) - Baton Rouge Raceway in Baton Rouge, La., on Feb. 23 will start the Mardi Gras Nationals with SUPR Late Models paying $2,500 to win and $400 to start. UMP Modifieds will race for $1,000 to win and Pure Stocks for $500 to win.  On February 22, 2001 there will be a open practice night at Baton Rouge from 7-11pm.

The second night of the Mardi Gras Nationals, Feb. 24, Pike County Speedway in McComb, Miss., will be paying the same purse all over again.

If both Late Model races are won by same person, a bonus of $1,000 will be paid by Oreilly Auto Parts and in the UMP Modified Class will have a $500 bonus to win both from HOT Chassis.
